Let’s Talk About It: Boobs, Pleasure & Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and while we usually spend our time talking about pleasure, kinks, and all things cheeky - we’re hitting pause for something just as important: your health.

Because loving your body means more than lingerie, orgasms, and feeling sexy. It also means checking in, looking after yourself, and being your own advocate - especially when it comes to your boobs.

The Facts (And Why We Need to Talk About It)

  • 1 in 7 people assigned female at birth will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

  • Most cases are found by the person themselves, not by a doctor.

  • Early detection can literally save lives.

So yeah - touching your boobs can definitely be fun… but it should also be something you do with care, attention, and love.

How to Check Your Boobs (And Why You Should)

You don’t need a medical degree or fancy tools. Just your hands, a mirror, and a few minutes of your time.

  1. Look – Stand in front of a mirror and check for changes in shape, size, skin texture, or nipple appearance.

  2. Feel – Use the pads of your fingers to feel around your entire breast and underarm in a circular motion.

  3. Notice – Any new lumps, pain, dimpling, discharge, or changes? Get it checked. No shame. No overthinking. Just do it.

Make it a monthly ritual. Add it to your self-care routine. And yes, doing it during foreplay still counts (just be intentional).

Q&A: Real Talk About Breasts & Health

Q: What if I don’t know what’s “normal”?
A: Totally okay! The key is to get familiar with your body. The more you check, the more you’ll notice if something changes.

Q: Does breast cancer only affect older women?
A: Nope. While risk increases with age, younger people can and do get breast cancer. That’s why awareness matters at every age.

Q: Can people of all genders get breast cancer?
A: Yes. Anyone with breast tissue—including men, trans, and non-binary folks—can be affected. Check yourself, no matter how you identify.

At My Devilish Desires, we’re all about celebrating your body—and that means taking care of it too.

So this October, wear your pink. Share the reminders. Book the mammogram. And most importantly, check in with yourself—physically, emotionally, and sexually.
